I've seen "Frater" in a lot of names, both prefix and suffix. What does it mean?

This means that the person who places "Frater" next to his nick is part of a certain magical initiation society. So, he is a member.

It means that ??? Nah - memberships and initiations are not recognized by someone merely doing that .
