whether you intend to create a sigil, summon an entity, or converse with angels?
In truth, this is the subject of all subjects: how to communicate with spirits. Do spirits always respond just because you want to communicate?
Do you need to know which spirits are closest to you and which are adversarial?
How do you distinguish between a virtuous spirit and a base one? Are all books truthful?
What is the appropriate time to invoke spirits?
What is the difference between spirits in general, angels, and demons?
Are those spirits that dwell in the world around us different, or do they share common origins with us? What is free will, and how do you adapt it to impose it?
For "imposition" is a word that means you will possess power, and power comes from strength, and strength comes from knowledge—but from where does knowledge come?
Is it conceivable that the archangels would work for you?
How do they hear you, and how do they respond to you?
Will you impose your will on an angel like Cassiel, for instance, simply because you want to?
If it were that easy, why were all those books written, and what is the reason for this vast number of different invocations for the same entity?

Friends, this is the beginning. Every answer will teach us a path, every path will guide us to a place, and every place will require time; their sum is reality. I await you.

Regarding the preferred times for contact, this is from Arbatel:

Welcome, my friend: Indeed, the appropriate time to invoke a spirit is the best choice par excellence, but do we consider just the first hour, or do we also need to know the planet's approach and recession, its exaltation and detriment? Do astrological judgments affect the strength and appearance of the entity? For instance, every time you invoke Aratron, will you find him? If you review the collective of all books, you will find a strange indication that another spirit might manifest to you, so ask him for his name and sigil; is this the result of stellar movements, or the result of differing names or places? We will study together through the hierarchy of angels, from the first bearers of the Throne down to the devils. What will terrify a devil to make him manifest to you? Or is it you who will flatter him? Or will you pray to and worship an angel or a stone idol to move a devil of fire for you? Will you rule only by the Hebrew Biblical Divine Names? If so, would any rational person believe that the Just Divine would leave His names to respond to us simply because we want it, or because we know them, or think we know them?
